Paid parking in Capitol Hill can be expensive. Head to the areas in the below image to find free parking. It'll be a 5-15 min walk from the blue areas. Any areas with a green 2 hour sign are good to go for the entire day/evening, despite saying a “zone # permit” is required. The only time I've ever received a ticket was if I stayed there overnight and I park in those zones all the time.
